Imagination Central

National Endowment for the Arts Research Lab on the Arts, Creativity and Cognition. Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, Imagination Central is a research project involving collaboration between adolescents, artists and scientists at the University of Minnesota and the Weisman Art Museum. Adolescence is a crucial stage of brain development and identity formation. This study is examining many aspects of creativity in adolescents through a weekly course that involves arts engagement and science co-creation. The first cohort took place September 2022 - June 2023 and a second cohort will take place September 2024 - June 2025.
